Have u ever stopped and asked yourself how many babies die each day? Have you ever stopped and looked at your own and thanked God for that special little gift that he has given you? So many people this day and time (especially younger ones) that has taken the gift for granted and does not give the child the ability or chance to be brought into this world...
According to the New York Times a ban for so called partial birth abortions passed in the senate yesterday in a three to thirty vote, there was also one passed in the State House of Representatives with eighty four to six votes. The good news is the governor will be signing for this bill to pass.
The one thing tha blew my mind with this story was one of the Dr.'s said that it couldnt be passed because it was to vague... that just dont make sense; in my opinions its time that we start takig care of each other in this American world instead of turning our backs on people when they need us.... these young girls do need to be taught a better way to protect babies and a better way to conserve life

As any pro-life advocate would be I am thrilled to see the state of Arkansas pass legislation that will ban partial birth abortions and authorize increasingly strict repercussions for those who violate the ban. On a more personal note I find it truly baffling that anyone, including those individuals who are pro-choice, could support partial birth abortion. It is a grotesque practice that has been allowed and tolerated for far too long in this nation and around the world. I only hope the federal ban will continue to be upheld given the circumstances regarding the newly elected pro-choice president and the Democratic controlled congress.
ReplyDeleteI probably didn't explain this well enough in class, but the word(s) you choose to create a link to to the article you're writing about should relate closely to the article. In other words, the linked word and the linked to item should be related. The link should make sense. For example, when the reader sees the word "ability" underlined in your post, they might expect that link to lead to a definition of ability.
ReplyDeleteThe safe thing to do is make the title of the article you've read link to the article. Or maybe "a recent article," or "New York Times article."
It's interesting that the author of the article you read prefaces "partial birth abortion" with the descriptor "so-called." Is it a partial birth abortion or not? Who do you think coined the phrase "partial birth abortion"?
I don't believe in abortion unless someone was forced on them. It that case I think there should be an exception. It isn't their fault for being pregnant, not to mention the person could very young. I say their should be some sort of compromise, that if it should be needed, then it should be aloud.
ReplyDeleteI, as well, do not believe in abortion unless it is in the case of rape, then I believe it's the woman's choice. I believe abortion in any other situation is just an easy fix to a what a woman (and man) see as a problem. That is just irresponsibility. We are talking about a breathing, living person. Meg C.
